You schedule a snipe (very easy to do). Our database stores the item information and your bid details.
Bidball continually monitors eBay and the items that snipes are scheduled for, along with synchronizing the internal server clock with eBay's.
When the time is right, bidball logs into your eBay account and places your scheduled bid (snipe).
You will then be sent an e-mail from bidball (and eBay as well - if your bid registered) letting you know the results of the auction.
We also have a mirror server that acts as a backup to our main server, also submitting your snipes.
So, you really have two servers working for you rather than just one.
